Now how does this work with the shortage of water, as heated pool evaporate quicker :?

Save money by using energy saving methods only to waste water by over heating them

Our pool up in Tsada went upto 30c last summer as it got the sun from first thing in the morning to last thing at night, so was very nice to swim in or float in, as we used our Kelsyus floating chair, lounger & hammocks

Its in the spring and autumn I'd like it to be warmer, when the weather is still very hot, but the pool is flipping cold.

Only problem is Molly, you'd need to get it covered with a thermal cover to keep it warm & you'd have to have a auto-topup system to match the evaporation of the water due to heating it :(

We've got the thermal cover, and the auto-top up system could be Ken.

shipshape have an auto top-up device that fits on the end of a hozelock connector and basically works like a toilet cistern ballcock. it's aboput €100

it means that if the water is off when you need to fill the pool, you can put the auto top-up on, and forget all about it, and the pool will fill when the water comes back on, without over-filling.

I need to pick myself up a few... pete, if you sell these too, let me know!

i'll tell you what mate, if the water starts going off daily this year, you'd sell loads! i'm looking at buying three or four, and every other pool cleaner i know is looking at picking some up... thats a lot of cash, without private sales too...

i know it's off thread, but are you selling chemicals now? when we spoke last year, you hadn't decided.

I did get some 3-1 tablets, just 5 containers but have sold them, need to get some more, I was in talks with Florida pools about supplying me with chemicals but haven't heard anything lately, will need to get back in touch & see what the situation is :D

I think you'll find that if they start cutting water off & pools start to evaporate, then you'll not be needing a auto top-up device, as there'll be no water to top up with, but you'll need one of my PoolDevil Pro's, so that you're still able to skim the surface once the water drops below the skimmer levels.. :D :D :D

Elias does do some fantastic bulk deals, but they really are bulk! it's worth you doing a "Paphospeople superdeal" so everyone buys from you... last year i bought about £400 of chinese tablets alone; this year he can't get chinese, so it's european 3-in-1s... nearly twice the price, but i did Elias a huge survey of all my pools last summer (as the chinese supplier was holding him to ransom with 30% price rises), and the ones using euro 3-in-1s proved to be about 20% cheaper to run!

it's freaked me out a bit though... a 25kg tub of chinese, i got for £25+ vat; the euro tabs are €98 euros!

Don't wist to appear at all agressive about this thread, but.......you lot are all WIMPS!

I am sitting here in my apartment overlooking King Edward's Bay in Tynemouth where the temperature last night was - 3 to - 5 and today is not much better. Despite that the Geordies are out in force swimming in the Sea as I e-mail you. I kid you not! And you (lucky) lot complain when your pool goes below 20 degrees????? You must all be "Southern Jessies".

PS they do have Wet Suits on and they are surfing, but they are still in the North Sea and it is Blooming freezing!

PPS bring on the 4th March when I can catch up on the Sun and the Keo!
