Hi

Having never had the need to send money back to the UK via BOC and having no idea how much it costs ,I was looking for some info/advice please ? I did here its cheaper if sending to use a currency exchange firm ? Is that easy and cost effective ? presume you need an account with somebody .

thanks in advance B

I have not needed to move any money recently, but always found CurrencyFair efficient and competitive - compare them with what your bank will charge. They provide on-line quotes before you need to sign up.

We have always used "Currency Fair" They charge a set fee for any amount to transfer funds. That amount is £3.00 only. They will always inform you before wahat the exchange rate will be and how it will be in what currency you are transfering.

Ive used both currency fair and transferwise both work well and are very efficient - you can even make direct payments to pay people and bills too

I would only ever use Currencyfair or Transferwise which is doing it all yourself online but for anyone not happy to use online services then I would suggest contacting Currency Solutions who have an office in Paphos.
