If you know anyone coming from the UK before your proposed visit ... You could do a 'swap' and both avoid bank charges. :celeb2

May I suggest that you would *possibly* get a better rate at the harbour?

Yes we did well at the Harbour but don't go down too early as if you need a couple of hundred or so they may not have it until they have had some people converting their pounds for euros

Absolutely any bank is going to change your Euro to Pound Sterling. As mentioned above by others they will give you less than the interbank exchange rate and charge you a commission which I think is about 1% with a minimum of about €6 (bank charges vary bank to bank. ) Say you wanted to change €1000 on a quick calculation, very roughly your exchange will cost you about €30 more at a Cyprus bank than doing an exchange with a pal at the interbank rate.
(The interbank rate is the rate banks sell foreign exchange to each other, not what banks charge their customers.)

Foreign exchange is not my business, just trying to help you out. :sunny

Cost you about €8 depending on the bank. However I have to agree with you £165 or there about is not a large sum and in UK won't take you very far. Hope it stays nice for your trip. :greetings
