Another national treasure has gone, Freddie Starr has passed away at is home in Spain, arguably one of the funniest men in his day, he was funny when comedy was funny, not like how the PC brigade now want us to see comedy.

40 years ago (1979) I saw one of his shows whilst on my honeymoon, I had booked the best seats in the house and he got to hear about it, the rotten sod told the audience and took the Micky out of us, (all good fun) much to her indoors embarrassment.

After his show we were leaving and one of his staff took us back stage where he presented us with a bottle of champagne, lovely memory and a really nice guy he will be missed.
