I have an annoying problem with Microsoft Outlook . Every time I try to open Outlook I get the following unwanted message. DO YOU WANT THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMME TO MAKE CHANGES TO THIS COMPUTER. MICROSOFT OFFICE OUTLOOK. MICROSOFT CORPORATION. Outlook will not open till I approve the make changes. I can understand this happening once , but this as happened every time I open Outlook, for well over a month now. Can anyone come to my rescue with a method to get rid of this annoying message? Outlook cannot possible want changes made to the programme every time I open it. |

Although I'm not a Windows expert, I believe this is to do with a security feature called User Account Control settings which basically asks your permission to do anything! To switch this off, go to Start>Run (or Windows Key + R) and type UserAccountControlSettings and move the slider down to "Never Notify" and click OK. I think you'll have to reboot for changes to become effective. Obviously then just be extra careful if running non-Windows certified programs (!) |
