No you are not getting hacked. The have had a notification about this on the home page for quite some time, We have done ours, they want your phone number and email address [ and hopefully you also have a Digipass ] Then they offer you a range of questions for you to select an answer which they will use in the future for security, there are four different categories. We had a problem so phoned them up and they were very helpful. If you want to sort out the phone number and email address got to 'Settings' - 'Change contact info ' and you can do it yourself, but you will need a Digipass. Once that is sorted you will get the questions to select when you log in.

It's a little electronic box, about 2" x 1". Each time you make an online transaction you press a button on the digipass and it gives you a code to enter as confirmation.

Actually now it comes over the phone. You have to register and pay € 10, one off, and when you make a transaction that requires it, it will send you a number to fill in in the box. Those using currency Fair will have had a number sent on some occasions and this is a similar scheme. We went to our branch to set this up when our old Almond shaped thing ran out of juice and you need to take some documents with you, you'll have to check but there will be information on the BoC website. Security sign of the times I am afraid but if you don't comply with their regulations life will not be easy

Only if you don't have a digipass. I still have to enter a digipass code every time.

I registered at the bank .... only took my bank card and no 'one off fee' had to be paid.
My phone alerts me if a transaction (shop or 'hole in the wall') is taking place.
For on-line transactions, my phone receives a digipass code to imput for confirmation.
Easy !

Th old Digipass is no longer available, when it runs out of power you will have to use the phone system, still called the Digipass.

How long before "the power runs out"?

Got say that when I have had to phone them, local and international numbers on their Home Page, I have always found them very helpful. I would hope that they could sort you out if you were in that position. I am sure that you wouldn't be the first

And ....
As from 11.10.2017
On-line asks for the answers to four more security questions ... before giving the digipass code (via mobile or email).

My brain hurts ! .... But I hope I'm 'secure'. :there

From outside Cyprus .... Try telephoning (+357) 2212 8000.
They must hold security answers you gave to them, when opening your account (Passport No. etc.) to identify you.
Worth a try ?
