Hi everyone!
We have found ourselves in a tough position, our landlord has decided to put the house we rent on the market. We have until October to find a new place. I have been in touch with every agent i could find but the ones who did reply didn't have anything on their books.
If anyone out there knows anyone who is looking to rent out a 3 bedroom house with an enclosed garden (for 2 labradors) within a reasonable commute to the international school. I can get a reference from our current landlords to state that the dogs haven't caused any damage at all. I am happy with either furnished or unfurnished but preferably with white goods if possible. My budget is up to about 600 Euros.
I hope it's ok to put this post in this section for a little while!
Thanks very much in advance!!!
Sarah

Hi,
Would help to tell us where you are looking, you have not put where you are based so it makes it difficult for members to assist, bit more info would help.

30 seconds with Mr Google came up with this one! http://smartrentzcyprus.com/rentals/3-bedroom-furnished-or-unfurnished-villa-2/

Hi Sarah,

Won't your landlord consider continuing to rent to you while the house is on the market? Some landlords do this - might be worth an ask? That would give you a bit of extra time to have a good look around for somewhere else to rent (and the landlord his income while he finds a buyer)

Have you tried Mr Rent (aka The Property Shop) ? Susan or Thaki there are very helpful. Also Becky Smart at SmartRentz is very good.

It's better to actually phone or go in to the agents as we found that you spend ages going through the rental sites online and making lists of possibles, only to find that they've already gone when you phone about them - the rental sites aren't usually very up to date. There are often ones for rent that aren't on the sites too.

Good luck with your search - I hope you find somewhere soon.

Never mention your budget as every place you look at will be..................................600 Euros.

Good luck.

Hi,
Thanks for the replies, I have spoken to Susan at Mr Rent and Becky and every other agent I could find but no one has anything on their books just now!
Thanks again, S

Do members recommend renting before buying?

Personally I would
It gives you the chance to check out the area 24/7
Neighbours, barking dogs etc

Mmmmm,,barking dogs?A friend of mine a while ago was shown this property for rent and found it ideal :celebrate
He paid a months deposit and a months rent in advance.Afer a few days he was aghast to find his next door nieghbour owned two dogs that had the ability to bark both night and day at everything and nothing.
After a week he just had to move out loosing his deposit and pre paid rent.
He later discovered that the landlord showed potential renters his property when he new the neighbours where out taking their little pooches for their daily walk. ;)

Yes view with the landlord BUT before committing, check out the area on your own at different times of the day
