Can someone bring me over one or two pints of garden worms please (usually sold in fishing shops by volume). They are easy and safe to bring.
Please pm me. thanks.

Tanny, would you be allowed to bring them over on a flight?

Yes no problems, its a case to try and keep them as cool as possible, my previous ones came out of the fridge and wrapped in a couple of plastic bags, flown over then back in the fridge here and lasted a month.

If it's a Cypriot owl does it not eat Cypriot worms available from the hunting/fishing/shooting shops here?!

Yes although birds do not respect borders it is a local owl and she loves worms. However the worms supplied here come from Greece (as do many products) and the supply is not always good. The main factor is that they are sold in tiny tubs of about 12 worms and cost 4 euros a shot......... more over they are kinda scrawney. The last load I got from the UK were ideal.

I am trying to grow a worm farm but without too much success so far.

Right Tanny, unless someone comes up with any better suggestion I'll check what I can whilst I'm there. Problem is we will be in a hotel so refrigeration could be a problem, but will look into the logistics of collecting them just before we leave for the airport. I'll pm what I find.

Regards
Jacs

George I will take you up on the offer of worms when you return. I would appreciate it very much, so will the owl.

Unfortunately I couldnt get the worms over as the suppliers were shut for pick up.

Is anyone coming over very soon as a supply of worms (from most fishing and sports shops) is needed for poor Glory the owl.
