on june 5th we're having a street party in mandria, to celebrate england & greece being in the world cup, i'm not going to say the exact spot it's taking place, but if you want more info then please p.m. we're hoping to hold an auction with unbelievable prizes, we've just had permission from the local muktar to close the road off, the fun begins at 3 o'clock with disco & karaoke, if anybody knows of someone we could borrow a bouncy castle please let me know.
IT'S ALL FOR CHARITY, & before the coming weekend i will have details of the charities we are supporting

thanks in advance

neil, i get the impression you think that i'm either *in* or *own* the get in cafe', well i'm not, i just enjoy raising funds for charities, i dont get NOTHING out of these events, now i know you think this is advertising, but i can assure you it's not meant that way, i was led to believe that this is what forums like PP is all about, i understand that there are running costs for forums, such as PP, but surely the only way to let people know whats going on is to post threads on here, i've seen many posts on PP which could be construde as advertising, but nothing seems to be said about them,
for everyone's information, i'm in talks with the get in to try & get them to pay for the acts that we wish to put on for the benefit of those attending, i'm doing the organizing/karaoke/disco free of charge (as normal)

hi neil,
think weve hit a sore point with you. whats wrong with letting people know whats going on in the area and raising a few quid for a good charity. maybe you would like to come along and add a few of your hard earned euros to the proceeds. as major said everyone organises partys for paphos people so whats wrong with this? would love to find out what problem you have with that!!!

how many PP events have been held in *bars, tavernas, & pubs* where tickets have been sold, & the place where the event is being held is not a sponsor of PP but obviously still profit/benefit from ticket sales/bar profits, & dont even make a donation to any charity.
lets get this sorted once & for all.

whats good for the goose is good for the gander,

the next time a PP event is held, if it's not posted on here how are PP members supposed to know?

As I have said before
We have pubs that pay good money
to be allowed to advertise on here , it is not allowed to advertise on here
unless you are a sponsor of the site ..
Yes, you can say its a charity event , and sure some money will be given to that charity,
but the pub is still making money out of the charity event ..
therefore its an advert for the pub to make money ..
Why dont they just pay for an advert like everyone else .. ?
Instead of trying sponge free plugs on here , then use a charity as cover to put money
behind the bar...

P.S
We do not make any money at the P.P events ..

you might not make any money money from pp events but the bar/taverna holding the event does, what about the bar in coral bay are they a sponsor of pp? not according to your sponsor list, what happens to the takings from these events, do they make a donation to a charity ? i don't think so

i take offence to you saying about a sponge party then use a charity to cover up the bar making money, as i've said before i dont make money from these events, whatever is made through raffles, ect. goes to charity.

i do things like this to help others less fortunate than others, but after reading some posts on pp & the way some people get treated on here, it makes me wonder why i do it.

you make it sound as though i'm making money from charity events,
WHICH I WOULD NEVER DREAM OF DOING.
