Hallo. To see a specialist at Paphos general hospital, do I first need to see a GP? Thanks |

r My wife saw a Cardiac Guys last September when we were over. She had a heart flutter. We went to Iasis and she was seen within 5 minutes and had an ecg readout and tablets to take and show our GP in UK. |

No,on the few occasions I have needed to see a specialist at Paphos Hospital I just told the Receptionist which Department / Doctor I wanted to see. Similarly at the private clinics you just tell the receptionist why you want to see a particular doctor and you are referred to that person. If you see a GP you have to pay for their consultation so it's worth going straight to the consultant then they decide if other specialists are also needed - depends on your medical problem. |
