Before you ask emgeeb (Alan) ;)
An Endocrinologist specialises in biology and medicine dealing with the endocrine system, its diseases, and its specific secretions called hormones, the integration of developmental events proliferation, growth, and differentiation (including histogenesis and organogenesis) and the coordination of metabolism, respiration, excretion, movement, reproduction, and sensory perception depend on chemical cues, substances synthesized and secreted by specialized cells.

I THINK it's Nicosia...well that's wher my friends mother had to go

There is an endocrinologist at Paphos General. She is there every Tuesday morning. I was referred by surgeons as my thyroid was acting up. I had a PRIVATE thyroid test done before I saw her, so she had an up to date picture. It was done at the lab opposite Papantoniou in Chloraka. It takes three days for a thyroid result. The doctor is very good, and very approachable. Don't know if you have to be referred by GP or if you can make an appointment directly. Because it is not well known that she is there, she is not too busy. Good luck, and let me know how you do.
