Hello all, I need an audiologist, name, address and contact details ,that is capable of completing the hearing test hereunder, the test will be paid for by my union's solicitors. After an incomplete ENT test and report I find I am having to get it repeated properly. Here is a copy of my solicitors requirements to further my case for compensation: What this means is that the hearing tests is being undertaken by a trained audiologist and then the member is examined by a, UK, ENT Surgeon who deals with the occupational history and then gives a preliminary opinion based on the hearing test and the appointment as to whether on the balance of probabilities the Claimant's hearing test reveals noise as a potential cause of the hearing loss. It is important to remember that exposure to excessive noise plus hearing loss and/or tinnitus does not necessarily mean noise induced hearing loss. If you arrange the test and then send me the results of the test I can then arrange for the test to be reviewed by our ENT Surgeons in the UK. On receipt of the hearing test we will send that to the ENT Surgeon here together with a copy of your draft witness statement and ask them for a preliminary opinion as to whether or not they can support a diagnosis of a Noise Induced Hearing loss. If they are able to support a diagnosis then they will prepare a full report it may be that they will need a telephone appointment with you or they will deal with it only on paper or there will need to be an appointment in the UK when you next return. If the screening report does not support a diagnosis of Noise Induced Hearing loss and tinnitus then that will be the end of the claim. |
