Welcome to the new health/medical forum, below is a little about my background. I am a State Registered Nurse and Midwife and worked for many years as a District Nurse and later as a Cancer Care Nurse in the community. I am also a Counsellor/Samaritan (now retired). To complement my work in the community I became an Aromatherapist and Advanced Reflexologist, I also worked with Reiki and other complementary therapies. HEALTH/MEDICAL FORUM FOR ADVICE AND INFORMATION The new Health/Medical Forum has been set up to provide a service for the members of Paphos People and will include a Directory of Dr's and other Health Professionals including Complementary Medicine. The Directory is user friendly and in alphabetical order and by no means exhaustive, but as the forum grows, more can be added with input from members welcomed. To keep the Directory in order please post your recommendation and I will add it to the Directory as soon as possible. There will also be a question/answer section for members to post, seeking information or advice on everyday medical/health problems, minor ailments or concerns re medication, input from other members and their experience can be invaluable to others and input is once again welcomed. As always if you have any concerns or doubts about your health it is advised to seek medical advice from your regular Physician. It is not a forum that most will use on a day to day basis, more so on a need to know basis, but it would be helpful to others if you can post your question on the open forum as it may answer a question for somebody else. Anyone wanting to contact me personally can do so via a PM and I will reply as soon as possible. Jan. |
