Posted by Axel Foley Cypria Maris, used to be one of the best hotels in Paphos, spent many brilliant holidays there before we bought over in the East of the island, unfortunately it was taken over by RIU hotels, all of the department managers were sackedbecause they were too expensive and the hotel was "improved", would never recommend it now. |

I agree with everything you said, we first went to the Maris in 91 and did so for the following 3 years it was brilliant, first class food, staff and a fabulous kindergarden for the kids and a relaxed chilled out atmosphere. The Maris was a hotel where you always felt special. We last stayed there 4 years ago but never again When RUI took over a built the bay next door and introduced all inclusive the Maris was the second rate citizen. Its a shame seeing her today surrounded today by the all inclusive Bay and Ledra and all that goes with that. |
