Post subject:  little Patch the cat needs some TLC and a home

A few days ago.....we came across a little cat......he looks a little bit like Milo....but this little cat is only @ 9 months old.....he was filthy dirty and quite literally passing out and falling down he was so dehydtrated and hungry...

this lovable, friendly little cat we have named him Patch...because he was taken to the vets today to be patched up...we found him ,on friday, filthy dirty, with bits of his fur missing hardly able to stand up....crying weakly, he was obviously dehydrated and starving lying by the bins on his last legs quite literally.....and near to deaths door.....so we watered and hand fed him ...2 nights on the trot with chicken and bits to get his appetite going as well as giving him lots of water.....he was on the missing list last night..which bothered us greatly....but turned up again today......where julie who feeds the cats at the feeding station near to where we live....caught him and took him to the vets to be treated

little Patch was in a really sorry state....covered in tics and fleas and also suffering from ringworm....he was very dehydrated

he is spending a night at the vets where he has been treated for tics, fleas and ringworm...he has been given an injection to rehydrate him, an injection to slow release an antibiotic into him for the next 2 weeks.....and he has been nuetured at the same time....sad little fellow

anyways Patch is to be released tomorrow back to where he was found near to the cat feeding station in lower peyia.....friendly, little Patch is going to need some TLC to get him fully well again

we can help in making sure he ges the food and water that he needs

but sadly we cannot take him in as Edd's lungs would flare within hours of bringing him home with us....as edd is not allowed to have any animals living near him because of his now chronic asthma

the vet feels sure that Patch will make a good recovery....but this batterred little fellow also deserves some extra special TLC in his little life

if any one would like to give this adorable, friendly, little fellow who really has been through the wars a loving home

please let us know

maggie and edd xx

Well done on helping this little cat Maggie, I am sure that if he could say thank you he would.

Good luck in finding a forever home for him.

well little patch is back from the vets.......they also found that he had been bitten by a snake as well as everything else.....poor little chap

they said if we hadn't fed and watered him when we did.....that he most certainly would have died

we have just been to see him.....he is sleeping in the shade of someones garden..recovering from his op... he is tic and flea free...although still filthy dirty...the house is empty.....and he has just drank loads of water again.....and eaten some food....

he looks really sorry for himself and is a bit more timid now after being put into a basket, being handled as much as he has been and then having his bits chopped off  ....but he soon got used to us again and let us feed and water him :D

will keep checking on him every few hours and feeding and watering him to help his recovery speed up..but looks now as if he will live :D

1 life down little Patch ..hopefully 8 more to go :D

maggie

hi sue
he was much better last night.....he ate 3 bowls of food and drank a huge amount of water
and this morning is off and about to where ever he likes to roam
so he is set now for more adventures
hopefully not as horrible as his last lot
he also now knows where the cat feeding and watering station is
so he is set now for a good life
maggie
