Hi, Some advice please. I know someone who has had to return to Cyprus having worked in Dubai. As she will not be returning to Dubai she wants to transfer funds she has in a Dubai account to a british account. Her bank have suggested she needs to close the account, she was asked to email/scan over a hand written letter and leaving visa documents for this. The bank are now saying this may not be sufficient to close the account. What can she do? |

There will be a solution surely. The longer your friend waits the more pounds she will get. The dirham is linked to the US dollar and hence is steadily increasing against the pound. So no real rush require in my opinion. A. |
