Yes we know that, would you like to drive all the way there & back (300 KM) to exchange say Cyp 50 ???
WE are saying people with SMALL denominations of Cyprus pounds @ that price, But people with larger denomination we would negotiate a better price.

So, am I right in assuming that for every CY£1,000 for which you may have paid 1,000 euro, you could then take this to the bank and come away with 1,710 euro? Wow, what a neat way of making a huge profit of 710 euro! Now why didn't we all think of that!

It could take, who knows how long to collect 1000 Euro's.
We have been changing for people that have had only cyp 5.

Better to have 5 Euro in your pocket than Cyp 5 that you cannot spend.

At least Char-mur is getting off his backside and attempting to make a few quid.
