I want to search to see if our developer has any mortgage on our property and if/when the title deeds are available. Does anyone know of the location/directions to the Land Registry Office in Paphos and has anyone had any success with the same type of query? Thanks

I'm almost 100% sure that the Land Registry Office is in the new
Government building opposite New York Sweets.

Whereabouts in the building.........I don't know.

I eventually made the visit to The Land Registry Office yesterday in order to make a search on my property and land in relation to the title deeds and any mortgage by the developer. What a performance ! But I did it and now have to wait 15 days for the search result.
The place is well overstaffed and most of them do bu**er all , so it comes as no surprise that it takes anything up to 10 years or more to get the deeds issued.
Why is it that these civil servants are permitted to turn up to work looking as though they had just walked in off the building site ? Also they sit and drink their coffees and eat their food in front of the public . There also appeared to be a lack of anybody in charge.

What did you have to do Stormy in order to achieve this?

Hi Molly,

First download an application form from The Cypus Property Action Group website . They have translated the form into English and show you what bits to fill in. Then take the form with your certified sale of contract and fee of 5.98 euros to the Applications department on the ground floor of the Land Registry Office . I was then sent up 2 floors to some office , which was a complete waste of time. Just pay your money at the cashiers desk and then wait 15 days. I will let you know what happens then.
