Hi Haris

Are there any restrictions on the times when construction sites can work? As in, can they work on Sundays/public holidays, or before or after a particular time of day?

Thanks

Lesley

Hi Haris, just wondering if you've had time to look at this issue?

Thanks, Lesley

The hours from 12:00pm - 6:00am and for the summer period of time (that is from 15/05 until 15/09) the hours between 1:00pm - 4:00pm are considered to be "prohibited", in terms of making any noise could be an offense. This is the relative law; I do not have enough available time to translate it, but you can find someone to do so.
http://www.cylaw.org/nomoi/enop/non-ind ... /full.html

BUT the last paragraph of this law provides that this law is not applied for the any work of construction if it is proved that all the possible measures were taken in order to avoid or reduce the noise.

Thank you very much. Is it right that this applies to Sundays as well as the rest of the week?
