Post subject:  Ombudsman

Hi

Another Stupid Question I guess

We filled a case with the Ombudsman about 5 Months back , and received quite a prompt response with a file number.
As you do , we thought we would leave it for a while to allow progress ( ha ha ) , then we would contact the Ombudsman ( Lady ) .

Well we have called and the phone just rings , and I have sent a few very polite emails just asking if they believe we have a case and what do they think , should we be hopeful that they will persue or what .

Well nothing not even a mail telling us to stop contacting them .

So to the Question " Is there a body where we can complain , about our complaint lack of response , and how at least to get a guide line to what is happening "

Amd please don't tell me to log a complaint with the Ombudsman .

Hi Les
We were successful with resolution of our complaint. Maybe the person dealing with your case is on holiday/sick leave.
Try phoning 22 405 550 - this might not be the number for your complaint, but whoever answers should be able to refer you on.

When I put a case with them they gave excellent service. I even had calls returned when I rang, got no answer, and didn't leave a message. I call that very good service. Every time I called and spoke to someone, I was treated politely and informatively.
I can only assume there is a sound reason why you aren't getting good service. Are you ringing the main number or the number of your case handler? If the later, try the main number and explain your difficulty. I'm sure they will resolve it.
