Just been to Paphos and viewed lots of properties. We really put the agents through hoops. We have today had an offer accepted on a house in Chlorakas which will be a temporary holiday home until we move out to Cyprus in the next couple of years. I was pleasantly surprised by the agents, no real hard sell and v cheerful. Must be the weather! LOL Thanks to Scott from SLV Cyprus, Crinos from Sunseakers, Nikolas from West Coast, Petros from Purple and the lovely Gloria from Paphos properties.
Lot's of useful information which was confirmed by our Lawyer. Made it a pleasant if knackering trip. Fingers and legs crossed that this all goes through smoothly. Oh and I will need a pool!

Pollye

Did your agent recommend the Lawyer that you have representing you?

Under NO circumstances, use a Lawyer recommended by an agent. You want a Lawyer working for YOUR interest NOT the vendors/agents.

Good luck.

When we bought our property not only did the agent recommend a lawyer but when it came to signing the contract we found out the same lawyer was representing the seller (developer). Certainly speeded up the process but I wouldn't recommend it. Luckily we had no problems and sold it at a later date back to the developer - again with both parties using the same lawyer!
