We're moving in the New Year and looking initially at long term (3 months) car hire and then buying. Can anyone recommend a good , reliable, inexpensive car hire firm in Paphos that would fit the bill.

Sorry, there aren't any.

Car hire in Cyprus is a cartel, they all charge top book and give poor service.

We used easyjets car hire division when we first came over , only problem is they have a max 56 day limit so we ended up rebooking part way through our 3 month .....no trouble at Paphos airport it is like ghost town in the winter months.

Just checked now and for a Jan arrival for 55 days works out at 6 quid a day for a small car.

Rented cars MUST have red plates otherwise YOU ARE NOT insured, no matter what any Cyp says.

I've used 2 companies in paphos, first one was expensive and poor cars, but found this and quite happy with the prices and cars...
