I'm not going to commit to a regular diary but thought this would be a good place to update you all on our move :D

Well so far, we have secured the house and 2 jobs, have got pets waiting for us, flights are booked and i have finished work.

We first saw 'our' house in May last year, it is a bungalow right next door to our closest friends. We fell in love with it there and then but with no plans to move, never thought it possible that we would acctually get it! So it has sat empty for over a year just waiting for us! We brought the landlord down on the rent and have fixed a date to move in. The house is on the hillside in peyia, with 3 big bedrooms a huge garden and pool :D

We having sent my CV of to what seemed like every employer on the island! i received a request for it from a friend of a friend! He was impressed and after some discussion with Gavin, was happy to offer us both employment! Gavin has also been working hard at securing some regular gigs and that is all lokking fantastic at the moment with many venues keen to give him a try! :P

I finished work officially on 8th Feb and the kids had their last day on the 15th. I will be flying out on 1st March with the children and Gavin will be joining us on the 30th. It will be tough coming out without him, but he needs to work out his notice and it also means more money in the kitty as he will be staying with my mum (no mother-in-law jokes please!!) poor Gav

Our little pups Juneau and Beau are being spoiled rotten by our best mates! waiting for their new family to arrive! They are going to be very confused! poor little mites - moving next door! not looking forward to them howling through the night for their friends (the ladies Nina and Brandy)next door

So everything has fallen into place! we are so happy and so excited about starting our new life :D by the end of next month we will all be together in our new house with our new pups, in a new country!.......can't wait.......

Well done Lolly for starting your diary. I know you are much further down the road than we other diarists are, but I hope you keep posting. You can give more insight into what happens after the move, which is something the rest of us are not in a position to do yet.

Best of luck with the move and I hope you and Sam meet up soon. Keep us informed, and let us know the ins and outs of dealing with all the Cypriot red tape!!!!

Luv & stuff,

Lolly how exciting and how good that you both have jobs to go to.

Best of luck with the move and I'm sure you'll be fine until Gavin gets there - you have all your PP friends to look after you :D

Well we are fast approaching our last week in the UK! how do i feel?.....ecstatic! every day this country presents me with another reason to leave.... electricity raise of 15%, 9 year old girl missing!

The packing is coming along nicely, altho the childrens toys are proving to be a problem! the 5 year old just doesnt understand sacrifice and its also her birthday 3 days before we leave! luckily she has opted for her ears to be peirced and clothes, so no extra weight in the case!

All in all it's going well and my impetience is growing,. Not relishing the weeks without my right arm (Gavin) but hey....means to an end!

Lolly x

So we are into the last week! cant beleive its come round so quickly! the last weekend day for packing today and boy have i got loads to do! everytime i think a room is complete i find something else to do! :?

Spent much of the day yesterday sorting the kitchen cupboards and discovered lots of out of date products lurking at the back of the cupboard  (note to self - check dates regularly  )

So today Gavin is doing more dump runs and i'll be packing toys! Have done the hard bit now of convincing the kids they dont need 2/3's of the mountains of things they have! now just got to get them to say goodbye to the remainder for a few weeks!

Meanwhile, i'v got Lana's 5th birthday/leaving party to organise! I'v got 20 odd people decending on me, half of which are children! just 2 days before we leave! I must be mad :manic

Well roll on 1st march!

Lolly, you must be panicking and excited all at the same time. I am already panicking and I have got 12 weeks, not 1!!!!!!!!!

You will be there before you know it and everything will fall into place.

See you in about 3 weeks & have a good trip.

Well its 2 in the morning and the excitment/nerves are keeping me very awake!

Today (27th) marks my middle child Lana's 5th birthday and she is so excited! she has been counting down the days for the last month! I asked her if she was excited about the move too and she told me very seriously, " I will be excited about Cyprus when i am finished being excited about my birthday! I cant do two things at once you know!" I nearly cried with laughter! :rofl :rofl

Most of the sorting is now done and ready to be shipped out on thursday, when i will be repacking my 115kg allowance into 5 cases instead of the current 8! BA say it makes things easier for them! :o

I will be saying bye to the PC on thursday and wont be back online til we get all sorted in Peyia, havnt even looked into getting connected that end yet, Dont know what i'm going to do without PP!

Well i suppose i should try the sleep thing again as the kids will be up in 4 hours then i have a day of entertaining and spoiling to do  Have got my entire family decending on me tonight, all wanting fed and watered! I tell you, i do love to throw a party but i have definately given myself a lot to live up too with previous bashes  Well this time they will have to like it and thats it :huff

Am looking forward to getting to friday night when i am going to put my feet up in front of my mums fire and have my last fosters! Bring on the Keo!! :banana

Right i'm rambling now and should have gone already so night all thanks for reading! :seeya

An over excited Lolly x

Good Luck Lolly, I hope you have a big house in Peyia, as 250 people for a house warming is quite a lot but we'll all try to be there
