Rubbish!

I use them all the time in my electrics.

Hi Benn, sorry for your frustration, I was actually talking about rechargeable batteries for the Wii Balance board rather than the remote, how much difference it makes I'm not sure, but it must use more juice as I certainly was getting no where near 60 hours on ordinary batteries, they ran out very quickly.

It might not be clear to all members from your first post that you were actually trying to give them away for free, as you didn't state your intent (either free of for sale).

Why not collect them and see if one of the charities can use them for anything. I have also seen some recycling facilities around as well.

Keep some for me please. Always good to have some 'spre' for the grandkids 'things' that need batteries
Got any of the small 9v ones that are normally used in smoke detectors?

At work we use Radio Mics that use AA batteries, after these batterys are about half used we can't use them any more incase they run out during a show. Have lots of different brands most at least 1.3 volt. Would be ideal for remote controls or other units that don't really use much power.

We can't really use them as radio mics are very demanding power wise and re-chargeable batterys are not really up to it.

I've been doing this ten years and not once found a rechargeable battery up to the job. Lets not forget a radio mic is a fm transmitter. Most rechargeables put out 1.44 volt max, A good non rechargeable battery will give you over 1.6volt. (even though sold as a 1.5v) A two hour show will drain a 1.44 battery dead. And a battery going down in a show with 500 people watching looks awful on the company. Thats why we use non-rechargeable batteys and try to give away any left over power.

Radio mics as I have exsplained use far more power then anything a Wii would use and far far more then 99% of items. I thought everything in this section was free, had no idea users tried to sell items in a Charitable section. My bad. "Charitable Items Items you no longer want, don't want anything in return, then list it here! Someone in Paphos might have a need for it."

Thanks Benn they are great from remotes, camera, wireless mouse and lots of other things the grandkids use ALSO GREAT FOR LITTLE TORCHES DURING POWERCUTS
