This is a story of 2 Italian girls squeezing muffins in a branch of Tesco, checking the freshness. They were then stopped by security and cautioned by Tesco. Now, is it overkill by Tesco or were they within their rights, legally & morally to do this??.

The fact that they tested two others and left them damaged before buying a third (which presumably they did not damage) indicates to me that the girls were possibly messing about and that the only rule under which Tesco could ban them from the shop was the rulling used.

Who would have to pay for the damaged muffins?

Im not concerned about the health implications personally as shops etc are too sterile in the UK, however aesthetically a broken muffin is a heart breaking sight!!

Even worse is muffin tops when worn by women previously exposed in another thread...

Perhaps the Security Guys wanted to feel their muffins.
