02.JUL.09 A body found near a Paphos beach is that of a 31-year-old Ukrainian tourist, police have confirmed. The body, which was badly beaten, was found by a local resident out walking his dog yesterday. State pathologist Nicos Charalambous confirmed the man had been beaten on the head with a blunt instrument. The body was spotted on a cliff top and police believe the man, who is a holder of a Canadian passport, had been killed in sometime on Tuesday or early Wednesday. He arrived in Cyprus 11 days ago. |
