The cost of filling up at the pump is set to rise again, with an oil company spokesman warning of increases from tomorrow.

Akis Lefkaritis, the director of Lefkaritis Brothers Importers said, “Possible, slight increases are expected."

Consumers in Cyprus have been hit by a barrage of price hikes over the past year; diesel has increased by 27.8% in the past twelve months alone.

The rises follow surges in the price of oil on international markets, with a sinking US dollar seeing barrel prices hitting a record $110 in trading this morning.
