I currently look after a vehicle for a friend who has a holiday home here. I am a named driver on his Insurance Policy. I am now buying the vehicle from him and we are aware of the procedures (Form TOM9 etc). Will the existing insurance policy be OK to get the transfer of ownership? Geoff. |

No, I'm afraid that the insurance needs to be in the name of the new owner. |

Geoff Do you own any other vehicle in your own name and have insurance for it? You may be able to just add it as a 2nd vehicle... |
