Couldn't get hold of my usual home mechanic as my car had developed an annoying habit of not starting till after 3 or 4 attempts. After looking through the old postings saw one for Aidey. Called him and he came out plugged in his computer and told me what was roughly needed took the car away and did a really good job. Would recommend him to anyone else looking for a home mechanic...

Out of interest, why do people use a home mechanic?

I guess I can see the attraction in having someone come to the house, but I prefer taking the car to a garage where they have a full set of equipment, ramps etc.

Am I missing any other advantages. Again, I am asking purely out of curiosity.

Aidey's very good.
Although mainly known for being mobile, he has got all the equipment in a place in Pano Paphos and we take our cars to him.
However, we've had a couple of occasions where a car couldn't get to him and he's come out and sorted it for us.
Very reliable and has always done a good job.

If your car is dead then sometimes it is better to get a mobile mechanic in, also you do not have to do the journey home and back to the garage when it is fixed, that is if they can fit you in! :pint
