My aircon started to blow warm air the other day and I assumed it needed some gas. When I took it to the garage, the guy checked the system and found a leak (which is where the gas had escaped from). The pipe is aluminium and needs to be welded, but he told me that the only garage near us appears to cause more problems with his aluminium welding than he solves. Apparently the welding is a quick job, but the person who does it need to know what he is doing. Once that is fixed, the gas can be replaced and the job is done. Can anyone recommend someone who is a competent aluminium welder? Driving without aircon at the moment is a bit much. |

I would try to source a replacement pipe. Try Chris Cool, he fixes aircon on cars. His shop is at the set of lights heading out of old town, after "Time Out" kiosk towards EKO petrol station Chloraka. |
