The new plates are here. I have bought a couple of sets. You need to show reg doc of car and give date of birth of keeper. They are now white front and rear with the year of manufature in the middle. The taxi plates are yellow and no longer have T prefix. The rental are red still but no z prefix. Not many people know that the z is not on reg doc. By doing this they are paving the way for number plate recognition . Also they are cleaning up the data base with customer id numbers ,phone numbers and adresses. So you have been warned if you see a flash when you are driving in the near future it wont be the paparazzi you will be getting a fine. Cant say when but for me the wrighting is on the wall. As posted before if you have motor bike you have to put a large rear plate now. If your car is on old plates you do not have to change now ,but old style is now not ave.
