The parking meters charges around Paphos are very reasonable but our questions are...

Do these meters only work during certain hours when payment should be made?

Is a Sunday free or do these meters charges still apply?

If you park at say 8pm in the evening, should you put money in the meters?

Are the parking ticket machines in the car parks included in any of the above?

Many locals ignore these meters anyway but it would be interesting to find out the 'legal' position! It would also help if answers to the above points were included on a notice around the meters and machines!

Can someone assist??

I have seen the traffic wardens driving around the car parks checking the tickets
posted on the car windows ,I would think they check the tourist area machines at night
but not the likes of the old town or pano paphos area ..

they are not expensive anyway ..

I've had a fine for my ticket running out However, the fine was so small, you only have risk a few times and it works out cheap. But then you have the trouble of paying the fine. I wish they spent the time ticketing people on yellow lines, particularly dangerously park, instead of fining me, when I just over run

I know that the running different hours vary car park to car park. Usually on a sign. Individual metres not sure about.

I was told, when paying a parking ticket that the machines in car parks run til 2am! Yes, they do get checked as well, I found that out the hard way! It was in the big car park near to Nemo's. Not sure about meters though.
