 Post subject: Change of car ownership

I have just purchased a car from a friend and have all the relevent paperwork etc, but i believe you can take it somewhere to get it sent off to update the log book, I would be very grateful for any help people could give me with this, Thanks very much.

take it up to the road transport Dept, up mesogi Ave .
Make sure that he\she has signed the log book over to you ..
they will sort it for you up there ..

You may well have to get the Muhktar of your area to sign paperwork as well.

Ah! you have a point ! if the person you bought it from does not sign the transfer
paper in front of the woman at the TRD then you must get a muhkter to verify the signiture .

Gwenny will do all this for you for a fee!!! She did change of address/owner etc when I bought a scooter neatly 4 years ago/

It doesn't have to be a muhktar that does this.
A Certifying Officer (similar to a notary) can do it also.

You will also need the relevant form. (TOM 9)

Any idea what the process is if the seller has gone off without signing anything and can no longer be contacted? A friend of mine has found themselves in this position.
