I've been to a couple of different doctors and although they have a very nice manner they don't seem to be taking it as seriously as I would like and looking into my condition or making any tests etc. So I'm not getting any better, worse to be honest because with a few of the treatments I've had allergic reactions to them. I've changed my diet, use only baby products on my skin and am very careful with everything that I apply.

I've spent a small fortune on lotions and potions and I'm really just wanting to get it all sorted out so I can enjoy summer.

Know how you feel Ive had this for about the last 12yrs & its doin my head in. I know I can get anti hist injection here as had one in 2007 by private doctor but now Ive got Cyp medical card dont see why I should not have it done at the general. So Ill be up there again next week and Im not leaving till they give it to me. Its annoying, I live in a sunny country, but cant enjoy it like I should aghhhhhhhhh!!! :tickedoff :tickedoff

Sorry I cannot remember the doctors name but he works, not permanently, at the Blue Cross. A retired English Doctor who seems very knowledgeable and certainly helped my husband. I know he is only there part of the year so suppose all you can do is ring up and ask if he is on the island. Good luck, hope you find something to help you quickly.

PS Saw an advert on TV(English) for a new product just out called Magicool, two different sprays one for prickly heat and one for general skin irritations, will keep an eye out see if I can see any further information.

Have just googled Magicool and there is a lot of information on their website and available by mail order from http://www.expresschemist.co.uk but not sure if they deliver to Cyprus. Perhaps someone can bring some over if you decided to give it a try.

The name of the consultant dermatologist at the Blue Cross is Dr.Edward Fox and he can be reached on 99675429 or 26-221111. He has an advertisement in June issue of Grapevine magazine. Hope you can find some relief!

I've used Dr Fox and found that he really knows his stuff. He gave me good advice and the stuff he recommended works.

Most hospitals dont have thier own and use outside specialist. The ones they recommend and the one we use, ( also highly recommend ( Doctor Neofytou Yiannis ). Go to the old post office, left at the side, flower shop downstairs, the practice is above, all lastest equipment, consultation around 40 Euros, if they remove a skin mole your are not happy with. removal and testing around 80 euro, all done there and then, 10 days for results. Tel 99115353 Any skin problem Richard

Just a word for the Pafos General Dermatolist - I had under arm soft warts, he used "Crynogenic" (Freezing) treatment and it worked.

I have been to Iliada Kyriakidou she was recommended to me and I found her very good. Up past Penelope's Palace on the left hand side road, 2 nd I think, big sign outside her husband is a Doctor too. Just turn up and wait your turn, no appointments, she charges about € 40 per consultation. Very nice lady.
