:gossip No :!: Martin I was 6 years 11 months old at the time :doh I might 'look' that OLD :bounce

I did visit the Belsen memorial site when I was living in Germany 35 years ago. Even the birds don't 'sing' there!!! I also viited Dachau Concentration Camp (Near Munich) which is now a memorial site.

Did you 'listen' to the commentary and the 'slide' show?

Just think these 'atrocities' keep to be remembered :shock:

My parents have visited there and said exactly the same thing - apparently there's a completely unnatural silence about the place.

It's a period of history I have to say I find morbidly fascinating and have read a few books about the holocaust - if ever anyone is in doubt about mankind's capacity for evil, there's exhibit A right there.....
