This may not be the right place to post this information, but thought I would post it here for greater exposure.

If anyone has had any need to contact Eastjet by telephone in the UK, with all the premium rate and 0871 numbers they request you call, it can end up quite expensive.

I had reason to call Easyjet today, and being the canny Scot (tight) :sweaties decided to try and find an alternative number, and what a search it ended up being. :banghead :banghead The upshot is, Easyjet do not like you contacting them on the telephone if only paying for a non premium telephone call. In the end, I managed to call them on a normal rate landline number, got through to their customer care department, and yes, the number gets you straight through to a human, not a machine.

Should anyone have a need to contact Easyjet by phone, the UK number is:-

01582 700036

I hope they keep the number going for a while, as they have the habit of cutting numbers off once members of the general public get wise to them.

I always look at
http://www.saynoto0870.co.uk
for an alternative number - saves a lot (especially when you get inclusive 01 and 02 numbers on your bill)

:D

Yes JB that was my first step, but the number available on there had been disconnected.

I ended up finding the number after a google search and a trawl through several pages of a chat forum on Easyjet.

Glad it was of use to you Lisa.

When I needed to contact them on Monday I soon realised that they do not advertise anything but premium rate numbers.
