Am i the only one wondering why they are even allowed to have games consoles to amuse themselves in the first place ? Surely the point of being locked up is to "learn" that you did wrong and be punished for it, with the aim that after your sentence you come out a new enlighted person !?



My wifes cousin works in the Nicosia jail and from what he says its a rough justice, not an enhanced hotel service

This is one for Frank to answer, but from what he was saying on Saturday it is like a hotel in UK prisons now.

Imo all prisons should be 'rough justice' not hotels, after all, what insentives are there to stop doing what they do, if all that happens is, they get treated better inside than out

I blame the Human Rights group for the soft treatment prisoners get
