Went with my two daughters to see Mamma Mia at cinema yesterday. A lovely film, very cheesy and the first time I have seen people clapping, singing and dancing at a cinema. Loadsa men there but not sure if they were dragged along! As usual Julie Walters was well cast and very funny.

I went to see it with Kym, voluntarily, and really enjoyed it. If you accept that the male leads are just supposed to be ordinary people, then you can accept that they are not opera singers, or pop stars, and basically they do okay.

A group of young kids (far too young to remember ABBA) a few rows in front of us were waving hands in the air, and really enjoying themselves. Its a real "feel good" film, and at the end the audience applauded - that doesn't happen often these days. Plus there is a mini concert at the end (only a couple of tracks) which is good fun - just like they do on the West End stage show - oops hope in didn't spoil it.

Hi.

It's years since I've been to the Cinema. I will go to see Mamma Mia when it comes to Paphos. It's on in Limassol now so it should be here soon.
The last time I wanted to go to the cinema was when Titanic was on but unfortunately I wasn't allowed as ' women don't go places like that alone' and when you are tied with 3 young children it's very difficult to argue!
So I will go alone and spoil myself I might even stand in the queue and shout 'look at me I'm alone'.

Hi
My daughter and grand children went to see Mamma Mia at the weekend. They loved it and children were also up danceing and clapping so my daughter just joined in, she also said she had never seen that happen in a cinema before.

Hi

I went over the weekend too and can say it was ace!

I saw the musical at the theatre last year in Manchester and can say the film version is identical.

Any film with Pierce Brosman and Colin Firth in can't fail in my book :heart :heart

With you on that one Lisa. Am hoping to see it with friends on Wednesday night (some are very reserved, so I don't know whether they will be up and dancing in the aisles!) LOL

Hi Kathryn

My grandchildren went to see Kung Foo Panda, and they loved it, especially the 15 year old, they came out trying to mimic Po (that's the panda) :D

Hope you's enjoy both of the films!

The cinema is next to E&S, just up from Cosmic Bowling at the back of the small shopping arcade, quite hard to find unless you've been there :o
