recorded (dont ask why) an mpeg video clip at a 90 degree angle, and of course when played it is a real neck breaker. Doug anyone know how to turn an mpeg through 90 degrees. (To put it the right way up, before any smarties want it upside down).

If you are runnng Windows XP then you should have Windows Movie Maker available (click start, click run type moviemk.exe and press enter). Insert the clip you have recorded, then right click the image in the story board and Video Effects. There are some rotate options which you just "add" to the clip and then finish. You can preview in Movie Maker then when happy Click File, Save Movie File and have various options you can choose for final video quality.

The main advantage of Movie Maker is that it is free, so for a one-off worth using, but the image quality will not match the original and the save options are limited. For this sort of work I prefer TMPGEnc 4.0 Express, which has a variety of video filters one of which is the ability to rotate an image - it, and its partner application MPG Editor 2.0, are great applications if you need to do much video editing or conversion between formats (e.g. converting AVI files to DVD format), however the fastest video frame editor for mpg format is VideoReDo, which is quite brilliant for removing (say) ads from TV recordings.
