The road 'improvements' have started with new bus routes and traffic diversions..yesterday, Coral Bay was like a ghost town

Well i sincerely hope the changes and pedestrian area is good and positive and not a disfunctional mess. I live in hope . If completed prior to the start of next season , Easter i guess , it coild be very good , i suppose lots of ' numbered ' parking spaces. I noticed a week or so ago that kings supermarket was completely leveled. I hope the Corallia restaurant survives this , as wife and i had a lovely meal in there mid november . I guess there will be quite a shake up of bussinesses on the strip . I wish them all well.

Spoke to contractor yesterday and he says 'timeline' is 6 months...Their 'target' completion date is 1 June 2024. The full avenue will be partly pedestrianised.

Subject to negotiations, a new car park will be built in the field opposite the Neptune

I think it will look lovely and be better for people using the strip and the very many good resteraunt there ...may they all survive this long upheaval to their businesses

Shame it is not set to be finished for Coral Bays Easter Carnival ...which is always very well attended
