Podiatrists will begin offering their services under the national health scheme (Gesy) on November 1, the health insurance organisation (HIO) announced on Wednesday.

According the HIO, podiatrists will offer their services for patients who have referrals from their GPs or another specialist.

People will be able to visit their podiatrist up to five times a year.
