Well after a week where I can only say that every brainless, ignorant and arrogant NUMPTIE has been pointed in my direction (
and I am not in the least bit referring to our lovely clients) this particular incident has had me stumped.
Due to the development of what was once a car park, the parking laybys outside our offices are highly sought after. I saw a car pull out. Now the senario is this. I was waiting on the left hand side of the road and the space was on the right hand side. I was not holding up any traffic. A car came in the opposite direction and swiftly pulled into the space! I wound down my window and fairly reasonably said 'Excuse me I have been waiting for that space' - The passenger got out and flashed me a police ID card and said that I was making an illegal road traffic move.
This cannot be right can it. Or you could never turn right again. You would need a roundabout at every junction and you would spend your life making left turns and disappearing up your own exhaust.
Even our friend and lawyer said that this policeman was trying it on.
Has anyone come accross this before??
