I was given this picture as a present from one of my suppliers.
It's not very clear, but you can make out some landmarks.

Almost bottom right hand side is big church which is beside/behind aquarium. ( i think )

Here's another from further away, but a bit of extra light on it.

Lots of undeveloped land is seen..........

The Universal maybe??

Lovely to see. Sad to see what development can take from a country.

It is the same in the UK and many other places though. Telford is made up of lots of little villages that now sprawl out over the countryside devouring the fields.

We are all part of the destruction. We all want a slice of heaven otherwise we wouldn't be here, would we?

Brian,

Are you sure its 1988 & not 1888, as there's no harbour or anything built :? :?

I know the date is printed on the photo but it looks so sparse & bare, I'd have sworn it was more than 20 years ago

We first came out to Paphos in 1988 and stayed at Alexander the Great.

They were only just developing one parade of shops opposite the hotel and nothing on the coast road from Alexander the Great to Yeriskopa apart from one old lady cottage and the sodapop factory.

It is unbeleivable how Paphos has developed year by year over 20 years to unrecognisable scales.

Chris
