Post subject:  Re Msg from the British High Commission

At least in the BHC's latest letter to UK Expats here he has effectively corrected the duff
info his predecessor dolled out of telling them they must apply for MEU3 after being here for 5 years+ (on an MEU1).
His exact words were: "if you can (= entitled to) you should.
That incorrect advice caused a rush at immigration they were not expecting!
As a result all their normal work such as processing our "F" Visa application got delayed.
It also caused delays for UK expats who had overlooked (sic) registering at all.
Meantime I heard on the BBC they have introduced a pilot scheme in NW England for
EU migrants there to apply for "settlement" papers.
This as though the UK had agreed Brexit terms.
If I was a UK expat here, or anywhere within the EU, I'd be worried about the way it is all
going; bit like the Titanic with no radar or common sense. No one steams ahead at full
speed in an ice pack unless they have a death wish.
Will Mrs May go down with her ship?
Amos.
