Paphos People

Well were do you want me to start, arrived Paphos on the 30th April took to my bed on the 2nd of May and looked at the ceiling for a week thought it was flu, Ian got tablets from the chemist but they did,nt do any good, Had a terrible flight home I was so ill it felt like 10 hrs instead of 5 hrs My own doctor came in on the Thursday and said it was bactrial virus so I was in bed for two weeks. Up and about now but if I do to much I am back in bed for a day Doctors says it will take time. I was so looking forward to this week with Ian but he run about like a headless chicken trying to help but nothing he did worked bless him. We are back out the first two weeks in August with all the Family so heres hoping this will go bettter. Hope all you guys are fine

At least you have August to look forward to - hopefully a healthier visit.

I know how you must be feeling having been ill for 2 weeks myself & losing 16lbs in weight also

It must be worse having to go back to the UK not having done anything because of illness but at least you'll be able to come over again soon

What a shame! I think the planes have a lot to answer for. Next time, try that first defence stuff you can buy in the chemist - made by Vicks I think. You squirt it up your nose. I think there is a lot of infections floating around inside the plane and being transmitted via the a/c - if someone sneezes at the front of the plane, it is sent throughout the whole plane! Also, I have been advised by the doc to cover my nose/mouth whilst in flight

Notning worse than being ill on holiday but this one certainly set you back glad you are on the mend now thou.

I think Marilyn is right about the plane apart from reducing the oxygen levels within the cabin, because they say as we are sitting down we don't need it it's also recycled air which we are breathing in all the time not a healthy place to be really. Good tip on first defence by vicks that should offer some protection, it costs about £6 50p to buy, I use it when I think a cold is coming on....and yes it has worked for me follow the directions as stated to the letter and don't miss a dose.

Has it happened guys I lost 8lbs but not a good way to lose goes back on to quick, also stopped smoking for 4wks but had afew at weekend Silly me but what can I say been smoking for fifty years find it hard
