So sorry to here about your mum. Our thoughts are with you.
Try Easy Jet. They will let you book for the next day and, I think, up to a few hours before the flight departs. There is an Easy Jet flight tomorrow night, departing at around midnight.(2310)l go on the site now and see if I can book.

There are no words which can express how one feels at a time like this, and nothing can prepare you for this loss, but being with your family is an urgency most of us can understand and empathise with. I know you will have been glad to have had some time with your Mum recently, and this will be a comfort to you. I hope you get a flight soon, and there are no problems on the way. X

Hi Jean
So sorry to hear your news - our thoughts are with you. I suspect that you have probably been up all night.
With regards to flights , as Tiggy said, Georgia at Prestige travel is excellent and I know will do all she can to help. Her tel no is 26947118 - she probably does not get in until about 9.30 this morning.
Hope this helps. If you need any other help at all , please just ask.

Hi Jean,
I hope you get away today, just wanted to say I hope Mum's passing was a peaceful one which is all we can ask may she RIP. I had only left my Dad an hour since in Southport and when I read your post it brought is home to me this could be me, it is hard even thou we know it will happen one day.

I know how much you loved and cared for her and I am sure she knew that too, you were always there for her and helped her every way you could. A couple of tough weeks ahead for you but remember the good and happy times with your Mum. Look after yourself I will pray for you all.

Best Wishes,

Jan and Graham.

I am just waiting for the Thomson office in the UK to open - there is a flight at 14.35 today which would be ideal. I already have a ticket booked with them for August (going back to see mum), so will change it over to todays flight.

Thank you to everybody for your kind wishes - I am in a state of shock - I mean, she hasn't been well for years (had a colostomy 4 years ago which hernia'd), but she seemed to cope well with it. All I know is she went into hospital yesterday, and died yesterday afternoon, so I will find out more when I get back to the UK. She was a game old bird of 87!

Thanks again for your kind wishes, and I'll let you know when I am back again.

Just spoken to Thomson and I am on the 14.35 flight today. They were very helpful and changed the flight I booked for August to todays flight.

I don't know how long I'll be away - but as soon as I am back, I will let you all know.

Thank you all for your good wishes.

Thank you so much everybody. I am at my brothers at the moment, using his computer. As it is Bank Holiday Monday over here we cannot do anything until tomorrow. We are just praying there will be no need for a post mortem, but we will not know until we speak to the hospital tomorrow. Then the running around will start. So, at the moment we do not know when the funeral will be, so I don't know when I'll be coming back home. As soon as I have any further information I will be back to let you know.

Once again thanks for your kind thoughts.
