Have been asked by a local tour company the following.

For residents here what would be an attractive chilled da out on a trip and what would it include. They are looking to put together a tour/trip coming between €25-€35 that locals (from the West of the Island) would enjoy.

A trip to the East, or Nicosia, visit winery, monastery's, donkey farms, far flung restaurants, marinas, something specialist?
What sort of combination would you like?
How 'adult' would you like?
How fast moving would you like?
How many places of interest without feeling rushed?

What would you like.

Open topped busses are only used for short journeys. They cannot drive at speed on the motorway, so would not be used for day trips.

As to the original question about what trips would people like, it is a difficult one to answer.

There are already a number of coach companies running day trips around the island. You also have the Intercity busses running between the cities at very reasonable prices, so I cannot really think of a trip that hasn't already been covered.

For me I cannot think of any other trips I would want to go on.

If you can drive your Bentley with open top, then the bus too - just order all passengers sit at first level.
I see only one disadvantage - fuel usage increase.

Are you suggesting that a convertible Bentley is designed the same way as an open topped bus?

I promise you that they aren't!

Yes a bus can travel on the highway, but anyone upstairs will get blown around like nobody's business.

What would be the point of that? And how would a driver of the bus be able to stop some irresponsible person or persons going upstairs whilst he drives?

Please, don't make empty promises. I'm pretty sure, you never did a design of any type of a car or a bus.

Nobody will be upstairs as the driver will ask them come to first level and will block a door to second level.

Sergio, I am probably not going to reply to any more of your posts as you just seem to delight in stirring things up.

1. A Bentley convertible is designed to minimise airflow over the passenger cabin. A double decker bus does not have the means to deflect the airflow along its length, meaning that passenger will get the full force of the wind.

2. Double decker busses do not have a locking door between the decks.

3. No bus company in their right mind is going to go to the expense of running an open topped double decker bus on a long journey, only using the lower deck.

Do you have any sensible comments to make in response to the actual subject of this thread?

Irrespective of the type of charabanc used, what type of trip/tour /outing would interest locals here.
