They are out on the roads stopping cars for road tax offences
as the deadline date passed 2 days ago , they will be out for a while
at least a week , checking cars , so if you aint done it yet . it might be a good idea
to get it done ..

Absolutely.
However, I renewed our road tax in early February and I was stopped this morning
as the officer's ANPR told him I had not.
Luckily I had a print-out of the road tax from the JCC website in the glove compartment proving I had paid.
No system is 100% foolproof. When the officer checked with the Transport Dept by phone they confirmed the tax had been paid.
So forum members would be well advised to do likewise, now that it is no longer necessary
to display the tax disc on the windscreen!
BTW the officer concerned was very polite and very apologetic.

Yes, I saw the police checking, at the corner going to the Paphos General from Post Office road yesterday morning.
