Am looking for an old bath. Enamel, or plastic, so if you are doing some renovations or see one at a roadside please let me know.

Good luck with this one Tanny!
It took a sledgehammer to remove the one in our house when we revamped our master ensuite to replace it with a large shower cubicle.
I couldn't believe how it had been fitted, but the plumber said it was 'standard practice' here in Cyprus.
Instead of a metal support frame (aka as used in the UK) pieces of bricks had been cemented beneath the bath to act as a support. He said it was a counter-seismic measure, not sure if he was joking! :doh

There were about 30 - 40 lying outside the Laura Beach hotel last week. They are have a major refurbishment + 2 additional floors added.
There is also at least 2 hotels in Paphos being refurbished so mybe worth a look

the Nereus hotel next door to me , is also ripping the baths out
and turning the bathrooms into wet rooms , go look in the skip or just ask
the builders to leave you some out ..

Top gun back in 2002 I worked on various leptos sites and other local building jobs, I soon realised that the current Cyprus houses were designed to be knocked up quickly by semi skilled labour, over the past years I have seen nothing to change my mind. E.g. urinals in the gents, the 10mm water flush pipe in the top is just pushed in the 25mm hole, sometimes a badly squirted lump of silicon sits in the hole, but how often have they used the correct rubber fitting to do the job ? Almost never ! First time I saw a bath fitted here , I said what if the trap is faulty ? I was told you smash the brick wall down in front of the bath ! ,!

Spot-on Mouse!

Given my experiences over the last few years, it is the so-called 'architects' that should be classed as semi-skilled.

The workmen who actually construct them are not up to that exalted level!
