Well the first thing is to observe that this is "yesterday's news" as it came into force a year ago.
All part and parcel of tightening the noose on expat tax dodgers - the ones who live here but never register for a yellow slip or for tax etc.
The noose will tighten even more for British Expats following "Brexit" (at which time they will be no longer EU Citizens but aliens like the rest of us!).
Amos.

It is not before time, as British people who reside in Cyprus for more than 183 days a year, and don't have an S1 form, should, quite frankly, be ordered to go to the immigration office, and be advised of deportation if not complying to Cypriot immigration laws. Most of them go back to Britain for operations etc., but I wonder what would happen if they were taken ill as an emergency. Would they still expect the General Hospitals to look after them?

Totally agree= however its not just the S1 form is it as many people are here no yellow slip working as black labour not paying taxes no private healthcare so they illegally use their UK issued EHIC for that.

Interesting that the abuse of NHS healthcare is not just abused by UKs immigrant population.! Brits are just as bad if not worse
